Rick Shemanski TP#9

Today I met with Anton. I told Anton I wanted to show him my fraternity house. I picked Anton up at CIES and we went back to my fraternity house. I showed Anton around and introduced him to a few people. We then started our lesson. I again want practice grammar with Anton. I found a website that has pop up quizzes that you type the answer in. I focused on prepositions and irregular verbs. For prepositions Anton only seemed to struggle with “at” and “on”. Anton did very well on the prepositions to I decided to try irregular verbs. Anton did very well with this section also, the only verbs he struggled on were haven’t and didn’t. I explained their difference to him and he seem to understand.

Next we tried a listening activity. A man was getting pulled over and ticketed by a cop. The cop gave reasons for why the man was getting pulled over. After the listening activity Anton answered question about the clip. He got all but one correct. I sensed Anton was bored so I searched for another harder listening activity. This time we listened to a man telling a women about his current job search and a recent job offer. Anton is also searching for a job, so the topic was appropriate. Anton had a harder time answering the questions about this clip. Afterwards, Anton talked about wanting to find a job on campus. I helped he search and navigate the FSU webpages and we found links to available jobs on campus.
