Kelly CO #3

For my third classroom observation, I observed Alexandra’s group 2 speaking class.  Because it was finals week, the students were giving their final presentations. The topic for the presentations was about the students’ hometown.  The students went up one by one to give their presentation, which was about 5 minutes long.  The students were visibly nervous but you could tell they felt comfortable around Alexandra. The students are in group two, so a lot of the presentations contained a lot of vocal fillers, but all in all the students were able to get their message across effectively.  Alexandra is a very warm and outgoing teacher and the students seem to really enjoy having her as an instructor. After the presentations, the students had to do a teacher assessment, so I proctored the assessment for the blind student in the class. He told me that he really enjoyed having her as a teacher and felt that he was getting the extra help he needed.
