KyungAh CP#4
I met with my conversation partner today for dinner. When I had called her before I picked her up, I asked her where she or what she wanted to eat. She said that she was craving pasta and wanted to go to a pasta place here in Tallahassee. To be honest, I don't know many Italian restaurants here besides Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, and Carrabbas. But, I felt Carrabbas was too far and so, I said either Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill. She said "oh!" to Olive Garden because she said she has heard of that place from her CIES friends and they said it was good. So, I picked her up and we went to Olive Garden. She really enjoyed the unlimited salad and breadsticks and she ordered the fettucine alfredo pasta and I ordered just the classic spaghetti and meatballs. She said the sauce was a little too creamy and so, I asked for tabassco sauce and she didn't know what it was at first. I explained to her it was like hot sauce, but a little sour (vinegar) taste. I had her try a little on one side of her pasta and she thought it tasted a lot better since it made the pasta taste "spicy." After we ate dinner, we drank some coffee to digest the food. In Korea, it is very common to eat food and then go drink coffee/tea afterwards just to sit down and talk. But, since I had to teach the next day we didn't stay for long.
