I had noticed that Rebecca had been having trouble her
subjects and verbs with the right prepositions. For example, in our
conversations through texts she’ll say things like “You come CIES tomorrow?” or
a similar sentence lacking a preposition. Often times, she doesn’t use the
wrong one, she just doesn’t use one at all. We did this worksheet (http://www.worksheetworks.com/pdf/f4f/d29cfd9d57349/WorksheetWorks_Using_Prepositions_1.pdf)
and discussed by each of them was the right answer. Before hand, we looked over
some random reading assignments she had in her folder and I circled the
prepositions in them so we were on the same page about what a preposition was
and how to recognize them. I think at first she felt it was kind of
patronizing, but after I told her why we were working on it, she appreciated
the help.
