Isaac TP 13

Ali and I have worked consistently with pronunciation, but he expressed interest in practicing his listening skills, so I used the same video from Toy Story that I used with Yassass, to practice with Ali. I gave Ali the comprehension worksheet and vocabulary words prior to starting the video. I asked him to look at context to help him define the vocabulary words. Instead of Ali watching the video all the way through the first time, Ali was focused on the worksheet and asked me to stop the video so he could answer the questions. After the second question, I realized it might be better to let him watch the whole video, then go back and answer the questions the second time around. After He watched the video for the first time he had a good grasp on most of the vocabulary. He didn’t seem to have as much of an issue with the speed of the dialogue as my other student. I noticed Ali is very meticulous, he looks for the correct answers, but his ambition is a little distracting, I have a hard time getting him to slow down and work on cohesion.
