Isaac TP 14


Khaled and I began our lesson directly after Ali and I finished. Although I had given the same lesson twice already, I did the Toy Story video with Khaled as well. After having giving this material to two other students, I was figuring out how to best present the vocabulary and video it self. Previously, Khaled had shown stronger listening skills than his brother Ali, so I was confident the material would not be an issue for him. Khaled watched the video twice and completed his worksheet with hardly any help. So i decided to show Khaled the next scene in the movie, and I improved a couple comprehension questions for him. He wasn’t able to remember specifics like names, so I had him watch the video again and take down key words. After he did that I asked him to tell me what happened in the scene, using his notes. He did a good job recreating the scene, he just needs pronunciation and intonation work. It has been difficult for me to get Khaled comfortable with his speaking abilities.
