Rick Shemanski CP#3

I met with my conversation partner Ahmed. Ahmed is from Kuwait, he has been at CIES for about 6 months. Ahmed is pretty good at English. What surprised me the most was that he had great comedic timing. Ahmed was very funny, he told me a couple funny stories about his neighbors in Kuwait. We met at Starbucks on Tennessee. I asked Ahmed about what he wants to do after CIES, he said that he wants to go into business. Possibly international business between the US and Kuwait.  Kuwait is a really small country and the actual Kuwaiti's receive lots of money from the government to go to school and study English. After his time at CIES Ahmed will likely have to work for the government in order to pay back his loan. I told Ahmed about my plans to go abroad and he thought it was a great idea. Ahmed actually just got back from visiting his cousins in NYC and D.C. It was his first time in either city and he said that he had a great time. We made plans to meet later in the week.
