On this tutoring session, Rebecca and I went over the basketball speech project that her and I had created during our last session. I think she only read it over a couple of times if at all between our sessions, so there was a lot of room for improvement. I kept joking that she should include a corny exit to the speech such as "lets play some ball!" that is the trademark enthusiasm present in most college speeches, but she refused to indulge me. She allowed me to record the video so I could post it on the class blog. We spent a couple minutes on the word "twice" I was amused how difficult it is for a non native speaker to say the TW sound. Eventually we got there by combining "two" and "rice" sounds.
