I met with Eun-kyoung last week. We are still focusing on her reading comprehension and are going over some sample TOEFL style questions. She is improving in her reading comprehension and is especially good at understanding vocabulary within context clues.
To take a break from the Comprehensive questions, I had her read the script of the play I am currently in with me. WE both played different parts and somewhat "acted out" the dialogue. The script was written by Tennessee Williams so they are a few old American slang terms found within the dialogue. I explained to her that these are not really used anymore and that she shouldn't worry about not recognizing them. I did explain them anyway, since they are a little comical when used nowadays.
She seemed to really enjoy the break from academic reading - I will definitely continue to put these breaks into our sessions.
